Delays can be expected on all routes from "London and the North" due to long term road improvements on most routes heading our way.  we will try to keep this site updated.

​

There ARE roadworks all around the exhibition venue.  These do cause major congestion with delays of up to 30 minutes.  Please also bear in mind that it can take 60 minutes or more to get across the New Forest from the M27, on a Friday afternoon!

​

Be aware of average speed limit cameras on parts of these roads.

 

From Southampton / Salisbury / “The North”

Head for Ringwood, Hampshire.

From Salisbury this will be on the A338
From Southampton this will be the A31

Both roads merge for approx 1.5 miles in the 
major roadworks have recently been carried out around Ringwood and some residual work may be taking place.


You have two options on passing this section.

Option A               

 

Be aware of average speed limit cameras on some of this road.

 


Keep LEFT and take the A338 signposted BOURNEMOUTH

• After approx. 5 miles take the (first) Exit signposted Christchurch and Bournemouth Airport.• Keep in RIGHT hand lane approaching the Traffic Lights  -  Turn Right.


• Keep to left lane and pass over the A338 and immediately straight through another set of traffic lights and up the hill. Watch speed limits – mobile cameras!


• At Hurn Village turn LEFT at roundabout towards Airport  (B3073 Christchurch Road)


• Continue straight through the next set of lights and around the perimeter of the airport to roundabout and bear LEFT.  (Still Christchurch Road)


• After approx 1.5 miles go straight across at traffic lights. B3073 Christchurch Road


• When you reach the double roundabout take the 1st exit each time (Ringwood Road A348) heading for Poole.


• Continue on this road taking care when crossing the narrow bridge over the river Stour.


• At the next roundabout you will see the "Bear Cross Hotel" on your right, take the 3rd exit towards Canford/Wimborne.

NOTE the speed limit is 30mph here.

SIGNPOSTED from here

 

•    At the first set of Traffic Lights keep left but continue straight.

After the first set of traffic lights the speed limit is 40mph.

  • At the next set of lights keep in the middle of the road to continue straight.

•   400 yards/metres later keep right into filter and turn right into the  exhibition venue.

​

Shared footpath/cyclepath crosses the entrance of the exhibition so please take extra care.

Option B

Carry Straight on – POOLE / Wimborne /Dorchester  -  Watch for reduced speed limits.


• Pass straight over THREE roundabouts and then keep to the right and take the second exit effcetively turning right towards Wimborne.


• At the next roundabout take the second exit. (Police on Right hand side.)


• Stay on the A31 continuing across the Canford Bottom junction and

 shortly you will see Wimborne town on your Right


• Take the first exit at the next roundabout, just after crossing the River Stour, keep immediately to the RIGHT


• Take the second Exit (A349/A341) and continue over th epedestrian lights to the traffic lights at the junction where the A341 joins the A349 (Queen Anne Drive)

NOTE the speed limits vary between 30 and 40mph here.

SIGNPOSTED from here subject to works.


• You will find the exhibition venue on your left hand side just past large layby.

The Bridge House Hotel

2 Ringwood Road, Ferndown, Bournemouth, Dorset BH22 9AN [Telephone 01202 578 828] is just 1.5 miles from the exhibition venue and is situated on the banks of the River Stour.  Extensive windows along the side of the Restaurant / bar area gives stunning views of the river and local wildlife including little Egrets, Swans and if you are lucky the Kingfisher!

​

FROM the venue turn LEFT and follow the rod untilyou reach the roundabout with the Bear Cross Hotel on your left.  Take a LEFT here and follow the road down to, and across the narrow bridge. (If there is a large lorry coming it might be wise to let them cross first!)  The Bridge House Hotel is the first building on your RIGHT.

​

If coming from Ferndown/Ringwood direction take the A348 Ringwood Road towards Bournemouth & Poole. At Longham you will encounter two mini roundabouts, go straight across these. You will then pass a car sales, a care home and some residential properties. Once you see the fields on your Left the Bridge House will be right in front of you. You can take the first entrance a little way before the hotel or literally just past it. There should be a sign advertising the exhibition near this entrance.

​

Just over the road is the Kings Arms which offer a good range of ales at sensible prices, and a further mile up the road (away from the Bridge House) there is THE ANGEL public house which offers not only a good choice of beverages but also a good food menu at good prices. If you have come from the Ferndown direction you will have pased the Angel on your way in.

​

Don't forget however, that you are welcome to use the facilities at the Exhibition Venue including the bar and food can be orderted from the bar.  The Sunday Carvery is excellent and comes highly recommended.  We are trying to secure a table/s for exclusive use of our exhibitors.

Arriving by Train?

 

Bournemouth Station is the best stopping off point with several options available to get to the venue. 

Bournemouth Yellow  and BCP White with Blue stripe taxis can be found in the rank outside the station and the journey to the venue should only take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic and traffic lights etc.

​

Just across from the taxi rank you will see several bus stands and you can catch a bus at the travel interchange.

​

​

Note: Buses may be any colour from a number of operators within the More group   and may be single or double decker.

 

Number 4a  bus wiill bring you to within about 1400 metres (0.9 miles) of the venue and leaves at 30 minute intervals from the travel interchange with a journey time of approx. 40 minutes. ( the 6 runs approx 10 mins behind the 4a on time)

 

Number 6 bus  is currently scheduled to run past the venue every HOUR at approx 40 mins past the hour towards Wimborne and at 12 minutes past the hour towards Bournemouth  The Bus Stops right outside of venue.  Please ask for "The Hamworthy Club"

Number 32 bus currently runs from Bournemouth to Poole and Poole to Bournemouth Twice on a SATURDAY ONLY the first bus arriving at The Hamworthy Club as the exhibition opens.

​

If travelling from POOLE /Creekmoor/ Broadstone then the number 4 More bus will take you to Huntington Drive/Merley Straight which is just over a mile from the venue. This runs on an hourly service both Saturday and Sunday.  Timetable here: https://www.morebus.co.uk/services/WDBC/4
